Established in 2005 by the Chicago Bungalow Association (CBA), these awards recognize projects that balance historic integrity with modern living. For over two decades, the Driehaus Foundation has proudly funded CBA’s work, including these awards, as part of its commitment to preserving Chicago’s architectural heritage and strengthening neighborhoods.

This year's winners, announced on Thursday, November 13, exemplify this mission across multiple categories:

The Chicago Bungalow Association, founded in 2000, works to preserve Chicago’s 80,000 historic bungalows through education, design guidance, and energy efficiency programs. Their initiatives - such as free seminars, contractor referrals, and the Home Energy Savings program - ensure these homes remain sustainable and vibrant for generations.

Congratulations to the awardees!
