From tiny storefronts to glittering auditoriums, Chicago’s vast and diverse array of theater companies make it one of the best cities for live theater. Co-presented by Choose Chicago and Driehaus Arts and Culture grant recipient the League of Chicago Theatres, Chicago Theatre Week 2025 began on February 6 and continues through February 16, with some extended viewing opportunities available until February 23.
Now in its 13th year, Chicago Theatre Week is an annual celebration of the rich tradition of theatergoing in Chicago. During Theatre Week, participating theaters offer discounted tickets—most priced at $15 or $30, with some available at no cost—to more than 100 performances across the city. From intimate venues to iconic companies in neighborhoods across Chicago, Theatre Week is a chance to visit familiar favorites and to try something new. Participating productions include A Red Orchid Theater’s “The Cave,” Court Theatre’s “A Raisin in the Sun,” and “Debate: Baldwin vs. Buckley” at TimeLine Theatre Company, with opportunities to see other kinds of live performance like dance, stand-up, or improv.
In 2024, Chicago Theatre Week sold more than 18,000 tickets to shows in 64 theaters, and Chicagoans and visitors have one more weekend to take advantage of this chance to celebrate companies that help make Chicago a destination for artists and audiences from around the world.
The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation is a proud and longtime supporter of the League of Chicago Theaters, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the artists and companies continuing Chicago’s legacy as a premier performing arts destination.
