On December 5, 2013, The Historic Chicago Bungalow Association honored Richard H. Driehaus as the first ever recipient of their Angel Guild Award. The award honors an individual who has helped preserve Chicago's bungalow housing stock. The bungalow was one of the most popular housing styles in the city, built between 1910 and 1940. The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation has supported the Historic Chicago Bungalow Association since 2003.
