After five years as executive director of The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation, Kim Coventry stepped down from her role in March 2019. Kim was a thoughtful and innovative leader who made significant contributions to the nonprofit community in Chicago and beyond. The Foundation is truly grateful to Kim and wishes her every continued success.

On March 11, the Driehaus Foundation welcomed Anne Lazar as its interim executive director.

Anne is a life-long resident of the Chicago area and began her career at Driehaus Securities Corporation where she worked from 1987-1992, managing operations and trading for their international equity portfolios.  A strong supporter of arts and culture, she has been a member of the Women’s Board of the Joffrey Ballet for the past twelve years, she and her husband co-chaired its 2016 annual gala. Anne also co-chaired the annual See Chicago Dance gala in 2016 that honored Richard Driehaus and his valuable contributions to Chicago’s dance community. In addition to her ongoing leadership role with The Richard H. Driehaus Museum as a member of its board of trustees, she served on the museum’s 10th Anniversary Gala Committee in 2018 and currently serves as the chair of its Development & Marketing Committee.

On being appointed to her new role with the foundation, Anne shared the following: “I am deeply honored to serve as the interim executive director of The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation. Mr. Driehaus and the Foundation are inspirational examples of the positive impact and role philanthropy can play in lifting people up and contributing to a thriving city. I look forward to continuing the important work of the foundation and its committed mission.”
