The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation is pleased to announce JC Aevaliotis as its new Senior Program Director, Arts and Culture.
As Senior Program Director, JC will lead the Foundation’s Arts and Culture program and play a key role in developing and implementing program goals and objectives. He will lead the Foundation’s work in identifying, developing, supporting and evaluating potential arts and culture grant recipients, partners and funding opportunities, and communicate potential grants and their impact to the Directors and the broader field. JC will work closely with the Foundation’s Executive Director, Anne Lazar; Senior Program Director, Built Environment, Brad White; and staff to develop, manage, and evaluate the Foundation’s philanthropic investments.
Executive Director Anne Lazar shared, “I am thrilled to welcome JC to the Driehaus Foundation. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that will support Arts and Culture program strategy and continued expansion.”
JC comes to the role with extensive experience in arts and culture grantmaking and program design, most recently serving as a Senior Program Officer at Polk Bros. Foundation. As Senior Program Officer, JC led Polk Bros. arts education strategy and supported a portfolio of nonprofit partners in arts education. Previously, JC served as the Director of Development for Marwen, a visual arts education organization. JC brings extensive experience serving on arts funder collaboratives in Chicago. He holds a BA in Religion from Emory University and an MA in Religion from Yale Divinity School.
JC joins the Foundation on September 10 and will report to Anne Lazar.
The selection of JC is the culmination of a search led with Koya Partners, an executive recruiting firm that specializes in mission-driven search.
